I also see that there is a much higher proportion of women taking the online class. There can be many reasons for this, lack of time to get away to take an in person class being one fairly obvious one, but I suspect that another important reason may be a reluctance to participate in a one-on-one class with an unknown male instuctor, and a reluctance to participate in in-person classes with men. I have seen first hand that many women taking these courses are much more relaxed when they have female company and especially where females predominate.
For any women out there that hesitate over taking a CHL course for these (or any other) reasons, I encourage you search out a few freinds and organize a women-only group. I am willing to help in that; if you don't have friends that are interested, let me know that you are interested in a women-only class and I will collect names until we have enough to put together a women-only group for a CHL class.
